Terms of service
Last updated: 27 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Follo. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Plain-language summaries are provided for readability; the full text governs.
1. What the service is
Follo is software for recording, tracking, and verifying agreements ("commitments") between people. Follo provides the record-keeping and workflow; it is not a party to any agreement you record, does not guarantee that any counterpart will perform, and does not provide legal advice. Whether a recorded commitment is legally binding depends on the law that applies between you and your counterpart, not on Follo.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Workspace owners and admins control membership and roles in their workspaces. You must be legally able to enter into these terms.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for unlawful purposes or to record unlawful agreements.
- Do not upload content you have no right to share, or malware of any kind.
- Do not attempt to access other workspaces, probe, or disrupt the service.
- Do not use guest links to harass, spam, or impersonate.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, with notice where reasonably possible.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you and your counterparts submit (messages, evidence, attachments). You grant Follo the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content to the people you share it with — that is the product working, nothing more. We do not sell your content or use it to advertise to you.
5. AI features
Follo uses AI to propose structure — outcomes, owners, deadlines, criteria — from what you capture. Proposals can be wrong; you and your counterparts confirm what is agreed. Material actions are never taken silently by AI.
6. Fees
Core features are currently free. When paid plans launch, pricing will be published on the pricing page and no plan change will ever be applied to you silently or retroactively.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and to announce disruptions on the status page, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability. We may improve or change features over time; if a change materially reduces the service, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Follo is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from a counterpart’s failure to perform an agreement recorded in the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and request deletion of your data at any time (see the privacy policy). We may terminate accounts for material breach of these terms.
10. Governing law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s country of establishment; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. If we change these terms materially, we will notify you before the change takes effect.
